Anxiety is our focus, so you are guaranteed a specialised service with a long history of success.
Continuity is assured. We take pride in the fact that The Panic Room SA provides a small and intimate service in which you will always be given the time, attention and care you deserve.
Family-like feel. Every person is valued, respected and remembered for the unique individual they are. You will never be treated like a number in our groups or online forum.
We have ‘walked the walk’. Counsellor and facilitator, Kate Henderson, brings with her a wealth of professional knowledge, backed by her own experience of anxiety, depression and recovery. You won’t be greeted with textbooks and jargon here. Advice is simple, practical and relevant.
The Panic Room SA Difference!
Holistic approach. We firmly believe that recovery involves making changes to the way in which we are thinking, living and approaching life. As such, we aim to take into account the many facets of a person’s life that may contribute to ongoing anxiety and/or related issues. This may involve working with other services or professionals to assist you to achieve the best possible outcome.
No red tape. As The Panic Room SA does not receive funding from external sources we have the flexibility to develop and change services according to need, without having to also consider the requirements of a funding body. This means that time and energy that would otherwise be invested in administrative and reporting processes is invested in the people that count.
Easy access. Access to services is easy, simply call 0410 521 633 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. There is no need for a referral and waiting periods are minimal.
No time limit or expectations. Recovery is a very individual process and we consider you the expert in your own life. As such, there is no restriction on how often you attend support groups or access counselling and the pace or manner in which you ‘progress’. You are welcome to come and go as you need.
Available after hours. Counselling, group and online support is available after hours for those who are unable to make it during the day. The online forum is open 24/7 for those who wish to access peer support.
Multiple support group locations & times. Low-cost group support is currently available in the western/city fringe region of metropolitan Adelaide every Tuesday evening and the north-eastern region every Monday morning.
